Drax Technology delivered a centralised alarm monitoring solution that brought together alarm activity from multiple campuses into one easy-to-manage platform.
Working alongside the university's trusted maintenance partner, Premier Fire, Drax Technology provided the software, hardware, and custom graphics programming needed to make the project a success, while Premier Fire carried out the installation across the site.
The new system connected a variety of existing alarm systems through the university's fire alarm infrastructure, with Drax Technology's SMaRT Watches used to transmit alarm signals quickly and reliably. Instead of having information spread across different systems, security teams could now see alarm activity as it happened, all from a single location.
The addition of graphical site maps and real-time reporting gave operators instant visibility of where alarms were occurring, helping them assess situations faster and coordinate an appropriate response. What previously could have involved delays or uncertainty became a much more streamlined process, allowing teams to act with greater confidence and efficiency.
Beyond the immediate operational benefits, the university wanted a solution that would continue to support its needs in the years ahead. The platform was therefore designed with scalability in mind, making it easy to expand as requirements evolve.
