Delivering advanced fire alarm monitoring solutions for King's College London
King’s College London required a more advanced and connected fire safety solution capable of improving alarm monitoring and operational response across campus buildings. The existing fire alarm infrastructure required modernisation to improve fire detection performance while providing clearer visibility into alarm activity and system status for operational teams. The University also wanted a scalable monitoring platform capable of supporting future integration with security systems and additional campus buildings.
Drax Technology supported the implementation of a new Gent fire alarm system to replace the existing Siemens infrastructure across the Bush House Campus. Alongside the fire alarm upgrade, an AMX graphical monitoring platform was installed locally to provide real-time monitoring and detailed visualisation of connected systems.
The AMX platform delivered device-level reporting, graphical building maps, and clear alarm indications, enabling users to identify incidents quickly and make informed decisions during emergency situations. The solution was also designed to support future integration with the University’s wider security infrastructure and additional campus buildings.
Installed an advanced graphical monitoring solution providing real-time alarm visibility and management.
Enabled detailed monitoring and identification of individual system devices across the campus.
Provided clear graphical maps and alarm visualisation for improved situational awareness.
Delivered clear alarm indications and operational guidance to support rapid decision-making.
