Delivering Centralised Building Monitoring Across a Global Technology Campus

Implementing integrated AMX monitoring solutions for Apple’s Cork facilities

Who Are Apple?

Apple is one of the world’s leading technology companies, operating advanced corporate, operational, and support facilities across global locations. The Cork campus plays a key role within Apple’s international operations, supporting a large workforce and multiple connected buildings requiring efficient and reliable building management infrastructure.

Overview

Drax Technology partnered with Apple and technical partner Chubb to improve building monitoring and operational visibility across the Cork site. The project focused on implementing an AMX monitoring platform capable of centralising oversight across fire safety and security systems while supporting future integration across additional facilities and technologies. The solution delivered improved operational efficiency, enhanced system visibility, and a scalable infrastructure designed to support Apple’s evolving operational requirements.

Their Challenge

Apple required a more unified and scalable approach to monitoring building systems across the Cork site. Existing infrastructure operated across fragmented platforms, making it difficult to achieve centralised oversight and efficient operational management. The organisation also required a solution capable of integrating multiple technologies while supporting future expansion across additional buildings and systems. A key objective involved improving operational efficiency, reducing maintenance complexity, and strengthening response capabilities across fire safety and security operations.

The Solution

Drax Technology deployed an AMX monitoring system alongside technical partner Chubb to provide centralised visibility across connected building systems. Initially installed to monitor a remote building, the AMX platform delivered real-time insights into fire safety and security operations while creating a scalable framework for wider estate integration.

The system was designed to support future integration with Notifier and Ziton fire alarm panels across Apple’s main headquarters, enabling a more unified and future-ready monitoring environment. Drax Technology also provided ongoing technical support through a dedicated support contract, ensuring continued operational reliability and long-term system performance.
